Theme Party: Mickey Mouse Inspired Party (Plus FREE Printable Cupcake Toppers)

One of the hottest party themes is Mickey Mouse this year. It is perfect for younger boys or girls.

I was recently able to create a Mickey Mouse themed party for Ashley and her son, Josh. She allowed me to photograph the finished products. She also came up with some great Mickey themed ideas that I wanted to share.

The Personalized Mickey Mouse Banner was displayed on the wall.

I created several custom signs for Ashley. The first was the "We've Got Ears, Say Cheers" sign. Ashley put together the awesome party hats using Mickey Silhouettes.

I designed the custom sign on the right to put next to the cute party bags that Ashley assembled. She used red favor bags and attached the Mickey Silhouette and white circle "buttons".

The third sign was for the Hot Dog Bar. Hot diggity dog!

This is such a cute and simple way to prepare silverware for guests. I love how Ashley tied in all three colors!

The Mickey Mouse Inspired Water Bottle Labels were created especially for the birthday boy! As shown above there are 3 personalized parts to each label: the "nutritional facts", Mickey Silhouette, and Child's name and age.

Ashley set out the pretzels, Goldfish, and M&Ms in containers and left out bags for guests to fill on their way out. I created the customized Mickey Mouse Inspired Food Tent Cards to accompany the display.

I also created labels to put on the bubbles that were part of the favor bags.

Check out this adorable cake that Ashley made (can you believe it was her first time using fondant?)!

To go with the cake, Ashley also made cupcakes. I created the cupcake wrappers and the cupcake toppers. You can also check out my tutorial on how to make these Mickey Mouse Inspired Cupcake Toppers.

Free Printable:

This week, I am providing the printable Mickey Mouse Inspired Red with White Polka Dot Cupcake Wrappers to you for FREE!

Please feel free to share these wrappers with your friends, but please link back to this post and not directly to the link!

Special thanks to Ashley for allowing me to photograph her party!

Tutorial: How to Make Your Own Mickey Mouse Cupcake Toppers

Cupcake toppers are an inexpensive way to add décor to any party. Once you purchase the initial supplies, you will be able to make cupcake toppers for any occasion.

Today, I am going to show you how to easily assemble cupcake toppers.

Supplies Needed:
These supplies can also be found at a craft store like Michaels.

Instructions:

1. Cut out the 2" circle or squares from your pre-designed 2" cupcake toppers, center in your 1.5" circle punch and punch out or cut by hand using scissors.

2. Use your 2" Circle Scallop Punch and your choice of cardstock to cut as many scallop circles as you have 1.5" circles.

 3. Using your hot glue gun, make a line of glue extending from about 1/4" from top to bottom of scallop circle. Attach a lollipop stick.

4. Using the hot glue gun, make a line of glue on the lollipop stick from the top of the stick to the bottom of the scallop circle. Place one of your 1.5" circle on top.

 5. That's it! Place in cupcakes, muffins, cakes. There are so many ways to use these simple toppers.

Customer Share: Custom Mickey and Minnie Mouse Signs (Plus a Budgeting Tip)

Today's customer share comes from Ashley. She ordered 2 sets of Custom Minnie and Mickey Mouse Inspired Signs, one for her daughter's 1st Birthday Party and one for her husband's 30th Birthday Party. Check out the adorable yellow frames that she framed the signs with.

Thank you for sharing Ashley!

Budgeting Tip: The Dollar Tree (and other dollar stores) sell 8x10 and 5x7 frames for $1 each. These are perfect for using at parties to frame signs inexpensively. The sign I printed below was framed using a Dollar Tree frame and you really can't tell the difference!

Minnie and Mickey Mouse themed parties are very popular right now. I offer many different Minnie and Mickey Mouse Inspired items in my Etsy shop. If you are looking for a Custom Minnie or Mickey Sign, I would love to work with you to create a one of a kind design.

This coming Saturday, August 24, I will be staging and photographing a Mickey Mouse party. Can't wait to share how she is using Pamela Renee Printables designs. Stay tuned!
