Summer is rapidly approaching! I know that for many of you, like me, it is difficult to keep your kids occupied during the summer. Last summer, we sat down and made a bucket list of things that we wanted to do over the summer. Some were simple things and some required some planning. We didn't finish our whole list, but we had a lot of fun with the ideas that we came up with!

Pink Lemonade Themed Birthday Party

 

The newest collection available in the Pamela Renee Designs ETSY Shop is the Pink Lemonade Collection. I had the pleasure of designing these items for my friend, Jenna, and her adorable daughter, who just turned 1. Jenna's crafty touch, along with the printables, made a cute and affordable party.

 



 

We assembled the 12 month photo banner spacers using the printable photo banner spacers, twine, clothespins, and photos. This is a great idea to show your guests how your child has grown during their first year!

Jenna made these adorable mason jars using fabric and paper straws

 

The printable personalized banner added a sweet touch above dessert table.

 

 

Jenna did a fabulous job assembling the dessert table. The décor is simple, yet beautiful. She filled the one jar with lemons and the other with flowers.

 

 

She attached the pink lemonade buffet labels to the jars using yellow ribbon.

One of Jenna's friends made these delicious cake pops. I love how she used the paper straws as sticks.

 



 

The pink lemonade food tent cards were perfect to place on the table and label the foods that weren't in jars.

Jenna made some of this cute garland to decorate the lemonade stand using fabric.

These are my two little ones enjoying some lemonade at the lemonade stand.

 

Jenna's dad made the lemonade stand. I just can't get over how cute this turned out! I love the added cloth bunting and garland banners as well as the pinwheels and lemons.

The "Thank You for Making My Party so Sweet" sign was displayed next to the favor bags.

I really love how this party turned out and have to admit, I think this was my favorite party to design so far. Elegant Bridal Shower on a Budget (with a Champagne Bar)

 

One of my best friends is getting married! I co-hosted a bridal shower in her honor yesterday and thought I would share with you some of our budget friendly and trendy ideas. Thank you to my friend Jenny who took these amazing pictures!

 

We created a Champagne Bar (pictured above) for our guests. This is easy to put together, fairly inexpensive and very elegant. 

 

 

 

Champagne Bar Supplies:

• Carafes for juice
• Champagne Glasses
• Several types of juice (we used peach, orange and blueberry pomegranate)
• Champagne (Dry or Brut champagne)
• Fruit (we used blueberries, peaches and strawberries)
• Dishes for the fruit

I found carafes at Target for $5.99 each (in store). To label the juice, I added the pink hang tags with some pale yellow ribbon. The pale yellow ribbon was $1.00 at Dollar Tree and I had a ton left over.  Use the link below to download and print your own free hang tags.

Frozen fruit is perfect for champagne bars, since it keeps the champagne chilled. It is also more cost effective to buy frozen when the fruit is not in season. The glass heart shaped bowls that held the fruit were found at Dollar Tree for $1.00 each. I also found a 4 pair set of plastic tongs for only $1.00.

 

 

 

I designed an Advice and Well Wishes Card for the guests to fill out and made a coordinating sign. I picked up a 5x7 frame at the Dollar Tree and also found the cute white wire basket to hold the cards for $1.00. A bridal shower wouldn't be complete without sweets! The simple chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting fit in perfectly with the pink and yellow color scheme and they made a beautiful centerpiece for the food table.

 

 

Food Tent Cards add the perfect touch to your food/dessert/buffet tables. It is always a great idea to label the foods so your guests know exactly what you are serving. A few small rose bushes added the last touch for our décor and an added pop of color.

 



Overall we kept the shower budget friendly, but added touches of elegance and class. The guests had a great time mingling and catching up!
